Macaulay Langstaff scored his first goal for Salford City to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw at Rotherham on Saturday. The Ammies earned a vital point in their first-ever league meeting with the Millers, doing so after playing the final stages with ten men following Abraham Odoh's dismissal.

A frantic first half

Ryan Graydon gave the visitors a ninth-minute lead, finishing an assist from Luke Molyneux. Joe Powell doubled the advantage just after the half-hour mark, set up by Kallum Cesay. Rotherham responded with two goals in quick succession, Brandon Cover scoring in the 33rd minute before Paul Mullin converted a penalty two minutes later to level the scores before the break.

Odoh sees red

Ossama Ashley put the hosts ahead ten minutes into the second half. The game turned again in the 74th minute when Salford's Abraham Odoh received a second yellow card and was sent off. Almost immediately, Salford won a penalty which Langstaff calmly converted for his maiden club goal, restoring parity at 3-3.

The result leaves Salford City 15th in the League Two table with seven points from their opening six matches. Their recent form shows two wins, a draw, and two defeats from the last five outings. The Ammies' next match is at home in the league.
