Salford City have added the final piece to their playing wardrobe for the new season with the launch of their 2026-27 third kit. The deep navy strip, produced by Adidas, became available for supporters to purchase from September 10 and completes a set of 11 official kits for the club this term.
Design details
The new shirt features a clean, dark blue base colour, with white accents providing the contrast. The classic Adidas Three Stripes run across the shoulders, while the collar and sleeve cuffs are also trimmed in white. On the left chest, the club's traditional rampant lion crest appears in a monochrome recolored version, blending seamlessly with the kit's primary colour scheme. This design marks a distinct shift from the brighter orange home kit and the white away strip already in use by the team.
Launch campaign
In a notable move, the club chose to feature its women's team, the Salford City Lionesses, prominently in the kit's launch campaign. This decision highlights the growing profile of the women's side within the club's overall identity. The kit's release arrives as the first team builds momentum on the pitch, having secured back-to-back 1-0 victories in League Two.
Current context
The Ammies currently sit 15th in the League Two table with six points from their opening five matches. Their recent form shows two wins, zero draws, and three defeats, but they are now on a two-game winning streak. The most recent of those victories was a 1-0 home win over Port Vale on September 5, sealed by a goal from J. Powell in the 52nd minute.
The introduction of this third kit provides another option for the squad as they handle a busy schedule. With four goals scored and six conceded so far, the team will be looking to build on their recent defensive solidity. The full squad list for the 2026-27 season is available on our squad page.
Fans can now purchase the new navy third kit from the club's official retail partners. Its arrival completes the visual identity for a Salford City side aiming to climb the table after a mixed start to the campaign.
