Signing Details

Salford City have secured the services of 26-year-old midfielder Brendan Wiredu from Plymouth Argyle for an undisclosed fee on a multi-year deal. Wiredu joined the Pilgrims from Fleetwood last summer and finished that season with two goals in 37 league appearances.

Player’s Perspective

Wiredu said on the club website that the ambition of the club and the desire to be part of a successful team were key reasons for his move. "We know what the ambition is and what we want to do this season, so to come here and be a part of that is a key reason why I wanted to join and be part of a successful team," he added.

Upcoming Debut

Wiredu is expected to make his debut for the Ammies in Saturday’s home game against Chesterfield, where he will aim to bring his experience and midfield creativity to the squad.
