Early Football Roots
Romeo James Beckham was born 1 September 2002 in London. He joined Arsenal’s academy in 2014 but was released in 2015. After his first football setback he trained in tennis, including a stint in Andy Murray’s training environment, before returning to the sport in 2020.
Return to the Pitch
In 2020 he re-entered football by signing with Fort Lauderdale CF, which later became Inter Miami II. He made his professional debut for the reserve side in 2021, recording 26 appearances and scoring two goals, a club record for the reserve team. In January 2023 he joined Brentford B on loan from Inter Miami, scoring a late winner against Wealdstone in the Middlesex Senior Cup. Brentford subsequently signed him permanently on a one-year deal. He was part of the Brentford B squad that lifted the Premier League Cup in the 2022-23 season.
Retirement and New Directions
Romeo retired from professional football on 4 September 2024, aged 22, after declining an offer to remain with Brentford. He has since focused on modeling, working with Burberry and other luxury brands, and signed with the Paris-based agency Safe Management. His modelling work has been linked to top fashion names and has raised his profile outside of sport.
Acting Debut
In 2026 he made his feature-film debut in Forty Love, a tennis-themed romantic drama directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti and distributed by Studiocanal. The film follows tennis star Sacha Gallo, with Romeo playing a rival whose arrival changes the protagonist’s perception of competition, ambition and personal relationships. The cast also includes Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet and Benjamin Voisin, with a guest appearance by Catherine Deneuve.

There is no evidence that Romeo Beckham has signed with Salford City or holds a contract with the club. His career history ends at Brentford B, and any references to Salford City are incidental. He remains best described as a model and emerging actor who previously played professional football.
