Salford City have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27 season, returning to their traditional orange colours after a fan consultation. Co-owners David Beckham and Gary Neville unveiled the design, which features a modern twist on the club’s original badge.

What’s new in the design?

The new kit is predominantly orange with black trim, a nod to Salford’s history before the Class of ’92 took over in 2014. Beckham, who was heavily involved in the design, said: "I like it, do you think the fans will like it?" The updated badge includes the Salford lion and a rose, honouring the Salford Lads Club.

Why the return to orange?

After changing to a red home strip post-takeover, fans voted overwhelmingly to revert to orange. Beckham explained: "We wanted to take it back to that old Salford logo. The lion is so prominent, and the rose means something to the community."

What’s next for Salford City?

The Ammies kick off their season at home to Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup. With new signings like Luke Molyneux and Macaulay Langstaff, they aim to challenge for promotion to League One. Their next fixture is at home to Barnet on 6 March 2027, where they currently sit 14th in the table.
